Free People August Lookbook!

There's a reason Free People is one of my favorite brands. They're designs are sometimes so whimsical and spontaneous that it's enjoyable to wear. Anyway, here's a look at Free People's August Lookbook. Modeled by Marloes Horst and Darla Baker, the shoot captures that hippie-retro vibe complete with festive 70s glam.

Summery Anklet Sandals

I completely adore these anklet sandals, very beach-ready and fun to wear. I also liked the idea matching the detail with toenails in every color of the neon rainbow. Now if I could just find them...
But for the meantime, better settle for something similar, like this Pewter Metallic Beaded Sandals by Steve Madden. Doesn't look half as fun as the one above, but some colorful anklets might do the trick.
And if that's out of question, I think I might resort to some DIY with my own twist. Ethnic anklets with cowry shells or colorful beads and some chain anklets paired with sand-colored flip flops.
Also drooling over:
These Bali Soles Flip Flops by Michelle Roy. I'm not sure if they'd be very comfortable to wear, but they sure look nice. And last but not least:
The too-much-hassle and very festive Romana Fest Sandals from Free People.

Abaya Accessories: Shoes

I believe Abayas require luxurious and ethnic accessories that enhance that sense of Arabian charm. This week, we're taking on shoes.
Black is key, but it doesn't have to be very basic. However, polished designs and lace details are the most favorable options.

A Shade of: Peach

It's a peach/nude overload this week. Delicate and classy, the black dress gives an opportunity to indulge in light hues while keeping the creamy glow grounded. Since the clutch and shoes are polished and sophisticated, I thought about adding a little bit of fun to the dress with a statement necklace.

Nail Art Feature: Vintage Roses by Deniz

If you didn't know...I'm kind of a nail art addict! Deniz, a.k.a Trincess from emeraldsparkled.com is one of my favorite "nails artists". Today, I'm featuring one of her brilliant designs, which happens to be a favorite of mine as well: Vintage Roses. It's a girly and polished design with delicate teal and peach hues.
