A Shade of: Peach

It's a peach/nude overload this week. Delicate and classy, the black dress gives an opportunity to indulge in light hues while keeping the creamy glow grounded. Since the clutch and shoes are polished and sophisticated, I thought about adding a little bit of fun to the dress with a statement necklace.

Nail Art Feature: Vintage Roses by Deniz

If you didn't know...I'm kind of a nail art addict! Deniz, a.k.a Trincess from emeraldsparkled.com is one of my favorite "nails artists". Today, I'm featuring one of her brilliant designs, which happens to be a favorite of mine as well: Vintage Roses. It's a girly and polished design with delicate teal and peach hues. To learn more about this design: NOTD: Vintage Roses.

Abayas: Sweety's Ramadan Collection

Abayas are a staple in many Arabian women's wardrobes, so no wonder designers have been trying to develop more practical and elegant designs for this prominent feature of Arabian grace. Abayas were meant to be conservative and modest, but the constant thirst for individuality ignited the will of local designers to bring more edge into Abayas instead of repeating the exact same template over and over again.

Capturing the essence of contemporary and elegant trends without overshadowing the traditional allure of the Abaya, Sweety's Ramadan 2011 collection boasts fascinating refinement and modernity.

Ramadan Kareem!

Since Ramadan's knocking on doors again, I thought I'd go back to my roots and give you guys some fashion insight about our traditional Arabian clothing and styles, so be sure to keep a lookout. But before that, just a little quick note about the meaning of Ramadan: it's not really about the lanterns and sweets as much as it is about modesty and spirituality. Ramadan is mainly a month of cleansing and purifying, so have a wonderful month and experience.

What I'm Thinking Now!

Finding your fantasy

HAIR!

I've been thinking about changing up my hair style and color for a while. I want something edgy and new. My hair right now looks more like something like this. The color is pretty pale too!

I don't want to cut it really short or anything. In fact, I don't want to chop it off at all. But I'm really looking forward for a hairstyle similar to this one (yes, it IS the Korean soaps influence!).
AND AND AND, I want to highlight them like a crazy person!
This is very very tame and natural looking, but with enough edge to keep it...edgy! It fits my hair tones very well to, but I'm kinda still itching for something in lines of:
THIS! I absolutely love the bold colors here, which are still quite subtle and everything, but with a bigger dosage of that edge I'm looking for. I just don't like the "place" of the highlights. I think they should be more blocky and less thready. It would even be cooler if I got to highlight the bangs subtly and leave out the rest. I don't quite know yet...

So, what do you think?
